How to play

• Only the top disc of a peg can be moved.
• A disc may never be placed on a smaller one.
• Move the whole stack from the left peg to the right one.
• The minimum number of moves is two to the power of the number of discs, minus one.
• A hint plays the next move of the perfect solution.

Tips

• With an odd number of discs the first move goes to the target peg; with an even number, to the middle one.
• The smallest disc moves every other turn, always in the same direction.
• Between two moves of the smallest disc there is exactly one other legal move — make that one.
• Do not plan the whole sequence: plan where the largest disc needs to go and repeat.
