How to play
- A move is legal only if it traps at least one line of the opponent discs between the new disc and one of yours.
- Every trapped disc in every direction flips to your colour.
- If you have no legal move, your turn is skipped.
- The game ends when the board is full or neither side can move.
- Whoever has more discs at the end wins.
Tips
- Corners can never be flipped — they are worth more than a dozen discs in the middle.
- Do not take the square next to a corner: it usually hands the corner over.
- Having fewer discs in the middle game is good, not bad: it leaves your opponent fewer safe moves.
- Count the last six moves exactly; the endgame flips more discs than the whole midgame.
