How to play
- You move your checkers towards your home board in the bottom right; the computer moves the other way.
- A point held by two or more enemy checkers is closed to you.
- Landing on a single enemy checker sends it to the bar; it must re-enter before anything else moves.
- Both dice must be played if there is any legal way to do it; doubles give four moves.
- Once all fifteen checkers are home you may start bearing them off.
Tips
- Make points rather than run: two checkers together cannot be hit.
- Do not leave a lone checker in the computer’s home board — that is where it gets hit most.
- Count the pips before a risky hit; sometimes a quiet running game is simply ahead.
- Holding a point in the enemy home board gives you a shot even when you are behind.
