How to play
- The numbers beside a row say how many cells in a row are filled, in that order.
- Groups are separated by at least one empty cell.
- Cross out the cells you are sure are empty — it is what makes the next step visible.
- A row or column whose numbers add up with the gaps to its full length is completely determined.
- Fill every cell the numbers demand and the puzzle finishes itself.
Tips
- Start with the longest numbers: in a row of ten, an eight leaves only three possible positions.
- Where two possible placements overlap, the overlap is always filled — that is the main technique.
- A finished row is worth crossing out completely; empty cells carry as much information as filled ones.
- When you are stuck on rows, switch to columns: the answer is usually on the other axis.
